Kyana Hall-Toney, MFT
Kyana graduated from Hofstra University in May 2018, earning her masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has also obtained her Bachelor’s in Applied Psychology with a Minor in Women, Gender and Sexual Studies. Kyana is currently a doctoral candidate in the Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy program at Nova Southeastern University. She has experience working with the youth of a diversion program, domestic violence(DV) population and homeless population. Kyana has provided individual, couples, group and family therapy. She is a registered Marriage and Family Therapist intern pursuing licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist (LMFT). Throughout her work experiences and education , Kyana has used therapy models of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy( DBT) , Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT) , play therapy , empowerment model, and filial therapy. She has led psycho educational groups such as parenting and DBT skills groups. Kyana has also been trained in DV core comp, DBT and TF-CBT. Kyana’s approach to therapy is family systems, narrative and solution focused. Every person has a unique path and purpose, sometimes that is a reflection of our life stories and family history. Kyana is a therapist who helps guide clients to their path of success.
