Laura Jeanis, MSW
Laura is a Miami native whose passion is to help all of those in need. Her undergraduate degrees consist of a Bachelor’s degree in clinical social work and a minor in sociology from Florida Memorial University. Laura earned her Master’s degree in clinical social work through the advanced-standing program at Barry University. She’s worked with a variety of clients; from children as young as two-years -old in foster care, to young and geriatric adults in need of trauma treatment. Although Laura works with a variety of clinical needs, she specializes in treating trauma. No two clients are the same, therefore Laura uses a combination of different clinical interventions to provide the most effective treatment for her clients’ needs. Laura has been trained in many different clinical interventions. Some of her favorites to use in treatment are Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, and Experiential Therapy. A quote Laura often uses with her clients goes “You are way stronger than you think you are. Let me be your guide to helping find and connect the pieces you need.” Laura is a humanitarian, an entrepreneur, and a believer in the strength of one’s goals and intentions.
