Supervised Visitation Program
Therapeutic Supervised Visits: Therapeutic Supervised Visitation is a form of supervised visitation, most often ordered by Court. This visitation is facilitated and monitored by a clinical person as a therapist, mental health counselor or clinical social worker. Though not considered therapy, the efforts by the facilitating professional is to help parents and children through the challenges of visitation and frequently engage all parties including the custodial (at home) parent.
Supervised Visitation Visits: Supervised visitation has proven a most valuable aid for child and parent reunification. Most often ordered by Court, supervised visitation is particularly useful when a child has been apart from the nonresidential parent, or when the child has endured a traumatic experience. Courts have found It useful to determine the capacity of the supervised parent to be a nurturing, and loving parent so that an unsupervised, normal parenting relationship may be established.
Visitation occurs in neutral locations agreed upon by the parents and/or ordered by the Court. We can also request to use the office for the visitations.
