    Vanessa believes there is a difference between knowing what we ‘must do’ and believing we are worth our efforts to create change. She is a  Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern who is working towards licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She would describe hers counseling style as “very client centered” with a healthy balance of “therapeutic realness”. She holds sessions in a non-judgmental space, in hopes you would feel safe, validated, and empowered to choose how to grow through your challenges. She draws from person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, and solution focused approaches. She also loves to incorporate grounding activities and other mindfulness based practices for those interested in exploring the basics. Before receiving a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, She received a Bachelors degree with a focus on Applied Behavioral Analysis from Florida International University. Throughout her career, She have been honored to work with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, and their families, and; those struggling from post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, domestic violence, substance abuse and recovery, and challenges unique to LGBTQ+ identifying persons.
